Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Animation Technical Director to bridge the gap between creative vision and technical execution. You will collaborate closely with designers, artists, and programmers to ensure seamless integration and deliver exceptional animation experiences.
- Vision & Feasibility: Partner with game leadership to define the overall animation vision and assess its technical feasibility within the project scope.
- Documentation & Risk Management: Develop comprehensive documentation for all owned features, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Pipeline Optimization: Evaluate existing animation and rigging tools, collaborating with programmers to design custom solutions that enhance workflows and optimize performance.
- Technical Support & Training: Provide guidance and support to animators, game designers, and riggers, addressing technical challenges and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Innovation & Best Practices: Stay abreast of industry advancements and emerging technologies, incorporating best practices into our animation pipelines.
What You'll Bring
- 10+ years of experience developing AAA titles.
- 5+ years of experience as an Animation Technical Director on AAA projects.
- Strong proficiency in MotionBuilder, Maya, and Unreal Engine.
- Exceptional analytical skills and a passion for efficient problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively convey technical concepts and foster teamwork.
- A proactive and adaptable approach with a commitment to continuous learning and growth.
