Job Title: Primary Teacher Long Term Assignment

We are seeking a qualified Primary Teacher to join our team on a long-term assignment basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching students in the Primary Division and will be expected to demonstrate a commitment to Catholic education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach students in the Primary Division
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the Ontario Catholic School Graduate Expectations
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student progress
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
Requirements:
  • Qualification in Primary Division
  • Current member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers
  • Knowledge of current Ministry initiatives
  • Excellent English language communication skills, both oral and written
  • Sound knowledge of evidence-based assessment practices, including the use of diagnostic assessments to inform teaching and learning
