Leadership Opportunity - Vice Principal/Principal

District School Board Ontario North East is seeking experienced and dedicated education leaders to join our team as Vice Principals and Principals. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about education and have a strong commitment to student success.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage school teams to achieve academic excellence and student well-being
  2. Develop and implement school improvement plans to enhance student learning and achievement
  3. Build and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and the community
  4. Provide guidance and support to teachers and staff to enhance instructional practices and student learning
  5. Monitor and evaluate student progress and achievement, and make data-driven decisions to inform instruction

Evaluation Criteria:

  1. Cover letter and resume:
  • Developing the Organization to Support Desired Practices
  • Building collaborative cultures and distributing leadership
  • Model collaboration in their own work
  • Improving the Instructional Program
  • Providing instructional support
  • Participate with staff in instructional improvement work

Selection Process:

Candidates who are successful in the selection process will be placed in a pool for placement considerations in the three regions: North, Central and South. Candidates will be asked to indicate their preference for specific regions.

  1. Cover letter and resume;
  2. One page description of how you are successfully leading learning in your school.

Be sure to highlight the following:

  1. The three priorities of the Strategic Plan (2021-2025) and how you have implemented them.
  2. Copy of your 2024-2025 Ontario College of Teachers' Certificate of Qualifications;
  3. Reference contact information for four (4) administrative references, one of whom must be your current supervisor and two of whom must hold leadership positions.
