Daily Activities Overview
Project Oversight & Design
- Oversee transportation engineering initiatives and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including civil, electrical, environmental, and architectural professionals.
- Continuously enhance technical knowledge across various transportation engineering projects, including environmental assessments and both preliminary and detailed design phases.
- Direct the creation of technical documentation and studies to facilitate the design of transportation facilities, ensuring compliance with environmental assessment requirements.
- Supervise the drafting of contract documents, including drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Manage stakeholder engagement initiatives and present findings to municipal councils and relevant agencies.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, oversee project budgets, and ensure successful project execution.
Business Development Initiatives
- Develop project estimates and proposals.
- Play a pivotal role in nurturing relationships with key clients.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in collaboration with fellow project managers.
- Contribute to the leadership and growth of the Transportation Facilities Group.
- Travel for project-related meetings and inter-office collaboration as needed.
Professional Growth & Development
- Commit to ongoing professional development and personal growth.
- Mentor junior and intermediate staff, providing guidance and training recommendations.

Required Qualifications
Essential Skills for Success
- A degree in civil engineering.
- Licensed professional engineer in Ontario.
- At least 15 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated leadership and business development skills.
Relevant Experience
- Proven expertise in the MTO environmental assessment process and the design of provincial infrastructure.
- Familiarity with alternative project delivery methods.
- Strong leadership abilities in managing multidisciplinary project teams.
- Exceptional project management skills.
- Proven capabilities in public and agency engagement.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience in drafting technical reports.
