Job Summary

CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Master to join our team. As a Payroll Master, you will be responsible for producing payrolls for installation projects (CCQ) in Canada and the United States on a weekly basis. You will also be responsible for processing various payroll data in accordance with labor laws in different states and provinces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce payrolls for installation projects (CCQ) in Canada and the United States on a weekly basis.
  • Process various payroll data in accordance with labor laws in different states and provinces.
  • Ensure the accuracy of data provided in relation to the activity cycle.
  • Ensure the integrity of employee data in systems (ADP).
  • Provide excellent customer service to employees.
  • Produce certified payrolls for American projects.
  • Enter and correct various payroll data from job sites in required systems.
  • Follow and enter payroll data such as:
    • Attendance.
    • Overtime (hourly employees).
    • Annual leave – hours and payment.
    • Social leave (maternity, paternity, death of a loved one, etc.).
    • Per diem and allowances.
  • Produce various reports related to the activity cycle such as employment insurance benefits, maternity benefits, parental employment insurance benefits, and child support payments.
  • Classify all relevant documents in employee files.
  • Process and issue data and forms in accordance with labor laws in force (e.g. US: W-2 and 1095 for employees in accordance with the federal health care law).
  • Replace colleagues from the Canadian and American payroll teams to ensure business continuity.
  • Hold a DEC in accounting, administration, or human resources, or any other relevant training.
  • Being a member of the Canadian Payroll Association (ACP) is an asset.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of French and English, both spoken and written.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office: Excel, ADP payroll software is an asset.
  • Knowledge of CCQ payrolls and labor laws in different states.
  • Attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Time management and tight deadlines, good stress management.
  • Autonomy.
  • Good communication skills in French and English, verbal and written.
  • Collaboration.
  • Analytical and judgment skills.
