We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to join our Automation & Digitalization division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading control systems projects from inception to completion, ensuring that project goals, timelines, and budgets are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Lead control systems projects from inception to completion, ensuring that project goals, timelines, and budgets are met.
  • Control Systems Design: Design and develop control systems, including hardware and software components, to meet the specific requirements of a project.
  • Algorithm Development: Develop and implement control algorithms and logic.
  • System Integration: Integrate control systems with existing or new equipment, machinery, or processes.
  • Testing and Debugging: Test and debug control systems to ensure proper functionality and adherence to specifications.
  • Documentation: Prepare technical documentation, including system specifications, design documents, user manuals, and maintenance procedures.
  • Project Planning: Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, and resourcing, including managing the procurement of necessary equipment and materials.
  • Stakeholder Management: Define project objectives, scope, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders, including identifying opportunities for additional automation and electrification scope within the project.
  • Risk Management: Manage project risks and issues, including developing contingency plans and mitigating strategies, and communicating progress and challenges to stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and supply chain, to ensure alignment and timely delivery of project milestones.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal teams, to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Reporting: Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders and senior leadership, including presenting project plans, budgets, and schedules.
  • Mentorship: Mentor and coach junior engineers and technologists.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with ANDRITZ Quality System.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering with a focus on automation and electrification technologies.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial engineering; Consulting engineering experience an asset.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of automation and electrification technologies, including knowledge of industry standards, best practices, and emerging trends.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Project Management: Project management experience an asset.
  • Travel: Ability and willingness to travel to domestic and international sites.
