Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Cook's Helper at Seasons Retirement Communities. As a key member of our culinary team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the exceptional preparation and delivery of our resident and guest dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare meals for residents and guests, ensuring dietary needs are met and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Operate and maintain food production equipment and food preparation areas, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Comply with all food preparation standards and health and safety requirements, maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment.
  • Wash, clean, and store dishes, cutlery, fixtures, and equipment used for food preparation and service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management, supporting the overall success of our culinary team.

Requirements:

  • Covid-19 vaccination is mandatory.
  • Current Safe Food Handler's Certification.
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively, and follow written/verbal instructions.
  • Organizational skills and ability to work under strict time constraints.
  • High standard of hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
  • Experience working in a kitchen is considered an asset.
  • Ability to lift up to and including 50 pounds is considered an asset.
