About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team at Highspot. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will be responsible for architecting and building highly-available distributed services, improving our CI/CD infrastructure, and designing new infrastructure and services to improve developer productivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service Architecture: Design and build highly-available distributed services that meet the needs of our customers and internal stakeholders.
  • CI/CD Infrastructure: Improve our CI/CD infrastructure to empower the entire engineering organization to deliver quality code with higher efficiency and higher velocity.
  • Infrastructure Development: Design, develop, and test new infrastructure and services that improve developer productivity.
  • Observability and Troubleshooting: Improve the infrastructure observability and resolve issues quickly.
  • Technical Documentation: Author high-quality technical documentation to ensure that our services and infrastructure are well-documented and easily understood by our team members.
Requirements
  • Professional Experience: 8+ years of relevant professional software engineering experience, not including internships/co-ops.
  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in at least one of the modern programming languages: Java, Python, Go.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and other CNCF technologies.
  • CI/CD Technologies: Proficiency with CI/CD technologies.
  • Cloud Platforms: Extensive experience architecting SaaS software platforms at scale and managing and maintaining cloud infrastructure such as load balancer, ingress controller, rating limiter, etc.
  • Distributed Systems: Proficiency in supporting large-scale distributed systems in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Soft Skills: An entrepreneurial spirit: you're agile, creative, resourceful, and tenacious as you solve problems and achieve team and company goals.
  • Education: B.S/M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
What We Offer
  • Competitive Compensation: Base salary range: $142,000 - $209,000.
