Job Title: Houseperson

As a Houseperson at Fairmont Vancouver Airport, you will play a vital role in ensuring our guests have a seamless and enjoyable stay. Your organizational skills and attention to detail will make a significant impact on our team's success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional guest service by ensuring guest rooms and public spaces are well-equipped and welcoming.
  • Assist Room Attendants to prepare guest rooms efficiently and maintain inventory in Housekeeping closets.
  • Respond timely to guests' special requests for miscellaneous items.
  • Collect dirty linen, garbage, and recyclables from Room Attendants' carts and closets.
  • Carry out carpet and upholstery cleaning tasks.
  • Follow departmental policies and procedures.
  • Report necessary maintenance items.
  • Be available for overnight shift coverage.
Requirements:
  • Previous housekeeping experience is an asset.
  • Excellent organization skills and time management.
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to anticipate and focus attention on guest needs, being professional and welcoming.
Physical Aspects:
  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift.
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 40+ lbs.
  • Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting.
Additional Information:

Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
