Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Power district team at Kiewit. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for power plants, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complex electrical calculations and apply standards correctly without supervision.
  • Review and develop electrical engineering and design documents for power plant projects.
  • Lead mid to large-size projects, including electrical design, engineering, and construction management.
  • Develop and lead others in improving design and reducing costs.
  • Apply industry and company standards to design and engineer electrical systems effectively.
  • Serve as a resource to less experienced engineers and provide guidance and leadership.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • At least 15 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, preferably in power plant design and development.
  • Strong knowledge of industry codes, guidelines, and regulatory standards, including NEC, NFPA, and API.
  • Experience with ETAP Electrical Power System Analysis software and knowledge of power system studies, including load flow, short circuit, arc flash, and relay coordination.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
