Job Summary:

Multimatic Inc. is seeking a skilled Robotic Welding Technician PLC Controls Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our robotic welding systems and maintaining the highest level of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair complex robotic systems, including Fanuc and Motoman robots, and weld controllers using PLC programming and HMI interfaces.
  • Assist with equipment changes, component replacements, and tooling adjustments to maintain optimal production levels.
  • Support the production team to maintain a steady workflow and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Adjust welding schedules on various controllers to optimize production efficiency.
  • Maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend its lifespan.
  • Perform daily preventative maintenance tasks to prevent equipment downtime.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance our production processes and quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards at all times.
  • Maintain environmental awareness and adhere to relevant standards to minimize our ecological footprint.

Requirements:

  • Technical diploma in Robotic Welding, Electro-Mechanical, or Automation.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in robotic welding and automation.
  • Professional certification in a relevant field is an asset.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous experience with robotic welding and PLC programming.
  • Familiarity with various robots and PLC systems.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in manufacturing settings and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible work schedule and willingness to work occasional overtime.
