About the Role

As a Crop Inputs Manager, you will be responsible for managing the development and operation of a profitable crop inputs business. This role works closely with Customer Service Representatives and facility staff to ensure efficient business operations. Your effective leadership skills will provide direction to sales and operational staff in the implementation and delivery of annual and seasonal plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Grow the volume of the crop inputs business with existing customers and proactively seek out new business opportunities
  • Coach and mentor customer service representatives
  • Implement and operate chemical and fertilizer facilities
  • Monitor market developments and updates to determine competitive price offerings
  • Promote P&H's service programs
  • Manage third-party application for dry floating
  • Develop annual plans and budgets
  • Manage credit and collection programs
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a role managing or related to the sale of crop inputs
  • Post-secondary education in an Ag-related, Science, or Business field
  • Certified Crop Advisor, P. Ag., or related designation considered an asset
  • 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory role
  • Thorough knowledge of the crop inputs and grain business
  • Working knowledge of profit and loss statements
  • Ability to network and build relationships while providing excellent customer service
