Job Title: Pilot - Fire Suppression

We are seeking highly skilled and experienced pilots to join our team at Forest Protection Limited as Seasonal Pilots - Fire Suppression. As a key member of our aerial fire suppression team, you will be responsible for operating aircraft in support of wildland fire management operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate assigned aircraft in accordance with company operations manual and standard operating procedures
  • Adhere to instructions issued by officers of the Department of Natural Resources on fire suppression or instructions from the base manager when assigned to aerial application projects
  • Report all items requiring maintenance on the aircraft as soon as possible
  • Responsible for the cleanliness of the aircraft at all times
Requirements:
  • Commercial Pilot License - Fixed wing
  • Previous experience in role or familiarity in aerial suppression operations will be an asset qualification, but not required
  • Experience in a Piper Aerostar, Cessna Caravan, or aircraft equipped with a Garmin G1000NXI is an asset
  • Valid driver's license for travel within and outside the province
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English
  • Valid passport
