As a Controls Engineer at Valmet, you will be part of our dynamic Engineering Services team, applying your skills and expertise to drive the performance of large-scale papermaking equipment at our customers' facilities across North America.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical and fluid schematics, machine control, and human machine interface software for Valmet equipment.
  • Test software modifications and participate in start-ups, service calls, and project meetings with customers.
  • Lead project engineering work at customer sites, including developing machine code in PLC or DNA systems and human machine interface software.
  • Provide technical support and training to customers' operators and maintenance personnel.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality projects and services.

Requirements:

A degree in Engineering, Papermaking Technology, programming, or a related field, along with 3-5 years of experience in a technical role within the papermaking industry or a related field. Understanding of PLC programming and papermaking machinery and hydraulic systems is a plus.
