Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team responsible for the reporting of our reinsurance operations
  • Provide reliable and timely reports to senior management and internal business partners
  • Drive process improvements to increase efficiency and availability of Group reinsurance data for analysis and monthly reporting
  • Participate in special projects impacting intercompany reinsurance, including the oversight of business units
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to enrich financial data and provide insights for better business understanding
  • Manage ad hoc projects and build relationships with stakeholders to support professional growth and success
  • Coordinate internal monthly, quarterly, and year-end reinsurance reporting with various departments
  • Research and drive process improvements to increase efficiency and availability of reinsurance data for analysis and monthly reporting
  • Participate in the application of new accounting standards
  • Facilitate the audit process and liaise with internal and external auditors
  • Simplify, standardize, secure, and increase controls of different work files to maintain a robust internal control environment
Requirements
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, or CGA)
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in accounting, IFRS accounting standards, and finance
  • Bilingualism (French-English)
