Job Summary

**Job Overview**

The University of British Columbia is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Industry Partnerships Coordinator. This role will play a critical part in the development and implementation of our co-op program, working closely with industry partners, students, and faculty to create mutually beneficial relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • **Research and Outreach**: Conduct research to identify potential industry partners and develop strategies to engage with them, including outreach and communication efforts.
  • **Co-op Program Development**: Collaborate with industry partners to develop and implement co-op work terms, ensuring alignment with academic requirements and industry needs.
  • **Event Planning**: Coordinate and execute events, such as industry receptions and student/industry events, to foster relationships and promote the co-op program.
  • **Communication and Marketing**: Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the co-op program and industry partnerships, including the creation of branding materials and publications.
  • **Record Keeping and Reporting**: Maintain accurate records of industry partnerships, co-op work terms, and student placements, providing regular reports to stakeholders.
  • **Student Support**: Provide support to students participating in the co-op program, including advising and guidance on industry placements.
  • **Collaboration and Teamwork**: Work closely with the co-op team, industry partners, and faculty to ensure the success of the co-op program.

Requirements

  • **Education**: High school graduation, plus two-year post-secondary diploma, plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • **Skills**: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong organizational and time management skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • **Experience**: Related co-op or marketing experience preferred, with a strong understanding of industry partnerships and co-op programs.
