Position Overview:

The Manitoulin Group of Companies is looking for a committed Bilingual (French and English) Health and Safety Administrator to assist our Health and Safety Department with various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate incident and injury documentation for precision and ascertain compliance with worker's compensation reporting standards.
  • Notify various worker's compensation boards nationwide, including Quebec, regarding injuries and illnesses.
  • Keep meticulous records of incidents and injuries.
  • Collaborate with pertinent departments to collect essential information.
  • Serve as a communication bridge between the organization and worker's compensation boards on claims, ensuring effective transmission of necessary documentation and information. Maintain precise records of submissions and communications.
  • Monitor claims and guarantee prompt resolution.
  • Compile and produce regular reports on incidents, injuries, and safety performance metrics.
  • Uphold data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on safety performance.
  • Accurately input incident data into the organizational database.
  • Assist in the formulation and execution of health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Provide general administrative assistance to the Health and Safety team.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in Health and Safety is not mandatory; training will be provided.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in an administrative capacity.
  • Strong organizational abilities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication skills in both French and English, written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides).
  • Capable of managing sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Familiarity with workers' compensation processes and regulations is advantageous.
  • Potential for remote work after the training period.
