Director of International Banking Compliance

Overview:
As a pivotal leader in our organization, you will spearhead the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Anti-Terrorist Financing (ATF) initiatives within the International Banking sector, ensuring adherence to regulatory frameworks and internal governance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Strategy:
    Direct and manage the AML/ATF and Sanctions programs, ensuring alignment with both local and global regulatory requirements. Collaborate with business units to develop and implement effective compliance strategies.
  • Compliance Oversight:
    Monitor and ensure the execution of AML/ATF policies and standards, maintaining a comprehensive understanding of applicable regulations and best practices.
  • Training and Development:
    Facilitate AML training initiatives, ensuring that all staff are equipped with the necessary knowledge to uphold compliance standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    Engage with various stakeholders to gather insights and feedback on AML practices, ensuring a cohesive approach to compliance across the organization.
  • Issues Management:
    Oversee the identification and management of compliance issues, ensuring timely reporting and resolution in accordance with established standards.
  • Reporting and Analytics:
    Provide strategic insights through comprehensive reporting on AML/ATF activities, ensuring transparency and accountability within the organization.
  • Relationship Management:
    Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering a culture of compliance and collaboration.
Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field with extensive experience in financial services.
  • Deep understanding of AML/ATF regulations and compliance frameworks.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship management abilities.
  • AML certification (CAMS) is advantageous.
Work Environment:
Standard office-based setting with occasional non-standard hours. Limited international travel may be required.
