Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team at CB Canada. As a key member of our purchasing department, you will be responsible for coordinating activities to obtain costing and supporting new programs, engineering changes, and market tests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Costing and Sourcing: Send out RFQs to selected sources, perform cost analysis, and develop knowledge of commodities and supplier cost structures to achieve cost reduction and price negotiation objectives.
  • Procurement and Logistics: Procure prototype components and materials to support pre-production builds, review and update RFC-RFQ requests in online databases, and maintain part drawings, CAD files, and program information.
  • Supplier Management: Assist with sourcing activities, support development of sourcing plans, and assist in bid recap for key stakeholder approval.
  • Tooling and Prototypes: Prepare tooling and prototype requisitions and purchase orders as required, and track tooling and prototypes to ensure timelines are met.
  • Meetings and Communication: Attend meetings representing the Purchasing Department and follow up as required.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 6 months purchasing experience.
  • Education: Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business, or equivalent.
  • Skills: Proficiency working with Trans4M and SAP, proficient with word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
  • Product Knowledge: Product knowledge in automotive parts or material commodities.
  • Communication: Strong communication and negotiation skills, verbal and written.
  • Organizational: Well-organized and able to work with multiple demands and competing deadlines.
