About the Role:

The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto and the Department of Psychiatry at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre are seeking a Staff Psychiatrist to join their team. This is an academic position that requires a Clinician-Teacher with a focus on providing consultation-liaison services to transitional rehabilitation patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide consultation-liaison services to patients at the Humber River Reactivation Centre and Pine Villa
  • Join the Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry team and provide inpatient and outpatient consultation-liaison services
  • Participate in general outpatient psychiatric care
  • Collaborate with an inter-professional team to deliver family and person-centred care

Requirements:

  • Hold an MD degree
  • Be certified (or eligible for certification) by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
  • Be licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the Province of Ontario
  • Have advanced training in addiction psychiatry and pain psychiatry
  • Have a track record of excellence in teaching
