Job PurposeAs a Transit Operator, you will play a vital role in transporting passengers safely and efficiently within designated routes. Your responsibilities will encompass driving, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, and providing excellent customer service.
Major Responsibilities- Operate transit vehicles safely and courteously, adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a consistent attendance record and punctuality.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure optimal safety and functionality.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, including those using wheelchairs or mobility aids.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and passengers, providing updates and addressing inquiries.
- Complete required documentation accurately and promptly.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Class BZ or CZ driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service.
