About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Director to join our team at Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan). As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic financial guidance and oversight to ensure the organization's financial health and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the financial planning and budgeting process, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic objectives.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies and processes to improve financial performance and efficiency.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to senior leaders and teams, ensuring effective financial decision-making.
  • Manage and oversee financial reporting, accounting, and treasury functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring the organization's financial stability and reputation.
Requirements
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience in financial management, with a proven track record of budgetary and fiscal responsibility.
  • Post-secondary diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Commerce, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
