About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Clinician to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality care and support to individuals and families affected by mental illness and substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for clients with complex mental health and substance use needs.
  2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including intensive individual and group therapy, liaison with community resources, and care coordination.
  3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
  4. Provide education and support to clients and families, promoting self-determination and independence.
  5. Facilitate client utilization of community services and rehabilitative programs, including housing support and linkage to primary care providers.
  6. Coordinate services with police, hospitals, crisis lines, and suicide prevention programs.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with community physicians, consulting psychiatrists, and other stakeholders to improve access and integration of mental health services.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counselling Psychology, or a relevant social or health sciences discipline.
  • At least two years of recent, related experience working directly with clients and families impacted by mental illness and substance use disorders.
  • Strong assessment, treatment planning, and intervention skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
