Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate power broom equipment to clean and prepare surfaces for construction and maintenance activities.
  • Conduct daily maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Ensure a safe work environment by adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Accurately complete daily logbooks and timesheets.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including labor work such as shoveling and raking gravel, constructing rock walls at culverts, etc.

Requirements:

  • Ability to follow a firm work schedule as directed by supervisor.
  • Must be well-versed in construction site protocols, rules, and code of conduct.
  • Ability to perform a variety of manual tasks requiring independent judgment and action.
  • Must have a solid understanding of how a power broom works.
  • Willingness to work in a team environment.
  • Must be self-directed and able to manage time effectively.
  • Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors to ensure project completion.
  • Must have a valid Class 5 Driver's License.
  • Must be able to operate farm tractors.
  • Working safely is a condition of employment.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and nights as needed.

Working Conditions:

This role involves working outdoors in varying weather conditions, lifting, pulling, and managing heavy equipment and objects, requiring the use of PPE, hard hat, steel toe boots, and reflective vest to minimize risk on the worksite.
