Plant Operations Manager

Plant Supervisor Opportunity
We are seeking a results-driven Plant Supervisor to join our team in Truro, NS. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our plant in the most efficient, cost-effective, and safe manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the daily operations of the plant, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with the sales team to provide exceptional customer service and drive business growth.
- Ensure the efficient and safe operation of the Truro facility, including inventory control and maintenance of plant equipment.
- Identify and implement Continuous Improvement projects to support business objectives.
- Oversee preventative and planned maintenance of plant equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Ensure safety compliance and operational training is up to date, and provide input on seasonal hiring needs and recruitment processes.
- Assist with budget preparation and work within budgetary constraints.
Requirements:
- Education in Agriculture or a related field is required.
- Previous experience in an agricultural environment is essential.
- Lead hand or supervisory experience is required, with people management skills an asset.
- Strong analytical skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and clear understanding of mechanical concepts are essential.
- Class 3 driver's license or willingness to acquire is required.
