Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Financial Executive to join our Life Sciences Systems team as Vice President, Finance. This is a key leadership role that will oversee all financial and accounting activities for the division, including strategic planning, financial reporting, and budgeting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement financial plans, policies, and procedures to ensure effective financial management and control.
  • Lead the finance team in providing financial analysis and insights to support business decisions.
  • Manage financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes to ensure accurate and timely information.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic business plans and objectives.
  • Oversee financial planning, analysis, and reporting for the division, including EBIT, cash, and RONA metrics.
  • Develop and maintain rigorous financial and operational controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the finance team in preparing financial analyses and reports to support business decisions.
  • Direct the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure effective financial management and control.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to develop and implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent.
  • Professional financial designation such as CA, CMA, or CGA.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of senior financial and controlling experience in a manufacturing, financial, controlling, and cost accounting environment.
  • Expertise in project costing systems, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven business partner and trusted advisor to senior leadership.
  • Visionary leader with proven ability to develop high-performance teams.
  • Exceptional communication and analytical skills.
