About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team at Turtle Bay Pub. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for leading our culinary operations and ensuring that our customers receive an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the tastes and preferences of our customers.
    • Source high-quality ingredients and suppliers to ensure consistency and freshness in our dishes.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead and motivate a team of kitchen staff to achieve exceptional service standards and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
    • Train and develop staff to improve their culinary skills and knowledge.
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage inventory levels and ordering to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
    • Monitor and control food costs to ensure profitability.
  • Quality Control
    • Inspect and taste dishes to ensure they meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
    • Implement quality control measures to prevent foodborne illness and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role.
    • Degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
  • Language and Communication
    • Fluent in English.
  • Work Environment
    • 32 to 40 hours per week.
