Qualifications: Completion of a college program or a diploma in automotive technology, typically lasting 1 to 2 years.

Experience: A minimum of 1 year but less than 2 years in a relevant field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with supervisors to decide on repairs or replacements
  • Engage in discussions regarding work tasks with supervisors
  • Conduct operational inspections of motors
  • Analyze work orders
  • Perform road tests on vehicles
  • Evaluate automotive systems and components
  • Modify, fix, or substitute parts of automotive systems
  • Repair or replace mechanical units or components as necessary
  • Test and calibrate repaired systems to meet manufacturer standards
  • Estimate costs for parts and labor for vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Carry out routine maintenance services
  • Test and fine-tune units to specifications
  • Advise clients on services performed and future maintenance needs
  • Document issues and work completed in reports
  • Deliver excellent customer service
