Techo-Bloc is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our R&D team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and equipment. Your expertise will be crucial in driving innovation and efficiency in our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and create 3D CAD models of mechanical systems and parts for new equipment;
- Identify and implement improvements to production lines to increase safety and efficiency;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop new products;
- Validate designs, calculations, and simulations to ensure accuracy and reliability;
- Perform tolerance testing of mechanical parts and assemblies;
- Analyze and solve technical problems to optimize equipment performance;
- Procure parts and materials to meet project requirements;
- Participate in the physical assembly of equipment and prototypes;
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technicians;
- Contribute to project timeline and budget development.
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering;
- Member of the OIQ (Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec);
- Minimum 3-7 years of experience in design and development in a manufacturing environment;
- Excellent expertise in SolidWorks;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects;
- Strong communication and teamwork skills;
- Previous experience with conveyor systems and metalworking techniques;
- Bilingual English/French (spoken and written);
- Availability to travel occasionally for project-related activities.
