Revel IT is seeking a Production Supervisor for a contract opportunity with a Canadian client. The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee and coordinate the efforts of production and operational staff.

  • Work schedule: Monday to Friday, with potential for some Saturdays.
  • Shift pattern: 2 weeks on day shift (6:30 AM – 2:30 PM), followed by 2 weeks on afternoon shift (2:30 PM – 10:30 PM).
  • Flexibility to work night shifts as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of hourly employees, typically ranging from 15 to 40 individuals.
  • Work within a UAW environment.
  • Participate in a shift rotation of 2 weeks on days followed by 2 weeks on nights.
  • Initial week on day shift for training, followed by assignment to an off-shift.

Essential Duties:

  • Propose strategies to enhance employee motivation and improve production techniques, equipment efficiency, product quality, and overall productivity.
  • Evaluate operations and collaborate with technical or administrative personnel to address production or processing challenges.
  • Establish and implement systems for production tracking and quality assurance, analyzing data to identify production issues.
  • Recruit, train, assess, and manage staff, addressing any personnel concerns.
  • Compile and maintain production documentation and employee records.

Required Skills:

  • Strong verbal communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capability to work independently and effectively manage time.
  • Understanding of raw materials, production methodologies, quality assurance, and techniques for optimizing manufacturing and distribution processes.
  • Familiarity with machinery and tools, including their design, application, maintenance, and repair.
  • Knowledge of design principles, tools, and techniques relevant to the creation of precise technical plans, blueprints, and models.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED is required; an Associate's degree in business or a related field is preferred.
  • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience is required.
