About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer 3 to join our team at Williams Engineering Canada Inc. as a Technical Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and leadership on various projects, working closely with the Project Manager and other team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to provide technical guidance and support on project deliverables.
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients and internal teams.
  • Develop and implement innovative technical solutions to complex engineering problems.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Resolve technical issues and conflicts with contractors and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain technical standards and procedures.
  • Contribute to the development of proposals and business development initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to improve our services and processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • P.Eng. Status with appropriate provincial association.
  • 4-6 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong background in technical leadership and project management.
Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent technical and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365, SharePoint, Deltek Vision, AutoCaD, and Revit MEP.
  • Ability to calculate cost opinions, change orders, and earned value.
  • Ability to develop engineering cost proposals.
  • Ability to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Understanding of HVAC criteria for industrial projects.
  • Capability as a technical specialist in energy analysis, equipment selection and specification, fuel systems, high/low pressure piping, and plumbing.
