Job Opportunity: Sr Mechanical Engineer

MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a highly skilled Sr Mechanical Engineer to join their team. As a leading mechanical engineering consultancy, our client has a strong reputation for delivering innovative solutions for HVAC, plumbing, and drainage systems.

The ideal candidate will be a passionate team player with a proven track record of leading design projects, coaching, and mentoring junior engineers and designers. They will have a strong understanding of mechanical building systems, including architectural, structural, civil, electrical, and fire systems.

The successful candidate will have a Mechanical Engineering degree or diploma, with 7+ years of experience as a professional Engineer. They will be proficient in software programs such as Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Word.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead design projects related to mechanical building systems.
  • Coach and mentor junior engineers and designers.
  • Engage in hands-on technical work as needed.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Mechanical Engineering degree or diploma, with 7+ years of experience as a professional Engineer.
  • Detailed understanding of all building systems, including architectural, structural, civil, electrical, and fire, and how they impact and are impacted by the mechanical systems.
  • Excellent written skills and understanding of software programs such as Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Word.
  • Ability to schedule, mentor, and manage project teams of 1-3 people, on 2 or more concurrent projects.
  • A willingness to jump-in on projects and be hands-on technically when required.
