SAIT's Academic Services is seeking a qualified instructor to teach Communication Studies courses starting in Fall 2024. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching diverse students and a strong background in business and technical communication.

The Role
  • Instruct Communication Studies courses, focusing on business and technical communication and writing
  • Prepare in-class and study materials for learners, utilizing technology-enhanced courses
  • Evaluate student progress and achievement, providing timely, formative feedback
  • Provide ongoing support, guidance, and advice to learners, promoting student success and critical thinking
  • Stay abreast of emerging pedagogical issues and educational technologies
  • Attend department meetings and SAIT's instructor training program
Qualifications
  • Master's degree or higher in Communication Studies, English, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years' post-secondary teaching experience in a relevant discipline
  • Graduate education and/or work experience in adult education would be an asset
  • Good computer skills and experience teaching technology-enhanced courses are required
