We are seeking a highly skilled Arabic and Islamic Studies Educator to join our team at the Palliser School Division. This is a casual position, requiring flexibility and adaptability.
In this role, you will be responsible for teaching Arabic and Islamic studies to students in the Tahfeeth program under the direction of the school Principal. To succeed, you must have excellent communication skills, patience, and empathy. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor Degree, or Master's Degree, in Arabic/Islamic Studies, and have previous experience as an Arabic & Islamic Instructor. A Strong work ethic, ability to relate well with students, staff and parents, an ethic of service to students, colleagues, and community, strong interpersonal skills combined with the ability to create positive relationships and establish rapport, trustworthiness and integrity, commitment to the Palliser Policy-Governance model, commitment to fostering collaborative working relationships, ability to manage professional learning time and be a self-starter, commitment to personal lifelong learning, commitment to the lifelong quest for self-understanding, and commitment to strengthening communication skills, are all essential for this role.
As an Arabic and Islamic Studies Educator, you will play a key role in promoting Islamic values and beliefs within the school community. You will work closely with the Principal to determine your responsibilities and ensure that the school mandate is fulfilled. Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Fostering Effective Relationships: You will ensure strong relationships are built and maintained between students, staff, and parents, creating a safe and caring school environment.
- Supporting the Learning Community: You will support the learning community by providing guidance and resources to students and staff.
- Supporting Instructional Leadership: You will plan for optimum learning, create a classroom environment that promotes it, and promote optimal learning through effective instruction and assessment.
- Understanding and Responding to the Larger Societal Context: You will respond to the societal context and its impact on the school community.
