About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Package Handler at Packaging Depot. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of packages and mail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Update and maintain accurate address databases, ensuring that all packages and mail are delivered to the correct recipients.
  • Process Mail and Packages: Sort, bundle, and label mail and packages for delivery, ensuring that all items are properly processed and tracked.
  • Operate Equipment: Operate and maintain print shop and mailing house equipment, including printers, scanners, and mail sorters.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to mail or package delivery.
  • Perform Administrative Tasks: Record and balance daily transactions, process payments, and perform other administrative duties as required.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: Experience an asset
  • Language Skills: Hindi, Panjabi (Punjabi)
  • Work Setting: Courier and parcel express service
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, bending, crouching, kneeling, combination of sitting, standing, walking, fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, repetitive tasks
  • Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Personal Suitability: Flexibility, reliability, ability to multitask
