Job Title: Shipper-Receiver

Varsteel Ltd. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipper-Receiver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods in and out of our facility.

Responsibilities:
  • Determine the most efficient method of shipment for goods
  • Schedule the distribution of goods and coordinate transportation conveyances
  • Prepare bills of lading, invoices, and other shipping documents
  • Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents
  • Maintain accurate internal record-keeping systems
  • Record shortages and reject damaged goods
  • Route goods to appropriate storage areas
  • Unpack goods received and affix identifying information and shipping instructions on shipments
  • Oversee the loading and unloading of goods and supervise material handlers and helpers
Requirements:
  • Forklift Operator Certification
  • Computer and technology knowledge, including database software and MS Windows
  • Valid driver's license and own vehicle
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and with attention to detail
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
