We are currently seeking an AWS Cloud Architect. This full-time position offers a dynamic work environment where innovative technologies are at the forefront. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a scalable, secure, and highly available data lake within a complex infrastructure.
  • Architect solutions ensuring high availability and fault tolerance utilizing AWS services.
  • Create comprehensive blueprints for cloud infrastructures on AWS, covering networking, servers, storage, and security.
  • Design and execute disaster recovery (DR) and high availability (HA) strategies on AWS.
  • Engage in the design and automation of cloud solutions.
  • Formulate enterprise strategies surrounding containerization, serverless architectures, and API management.
  • Document and define cloud solution architectures, including technical designs and diagrams.
  • Conduct hands-on implementation and deployment of production systems in AWS.
  • Automate cloud deployments and manage infrastructure using tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar.
  • Utilize AWS security services (e.g., IAM, Security Groups, VPCs) to create secure infrastructures.
  • Establish and promote enterprise cloud technical strategies.
  • Champion cloud lifecycle management principles.
  • Encourage and participate in team development and learning initiatives.
  • Architect and create working demonstrations and proofs of concept within AWS.
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison for cloud-related projects.
  • Define various architecture types using AWS services, including cloud-native architectures and microservices design patterns.
  • Produce architectural documentation and diagrams for AWS applications and infrastructures.
  • Collaborate closely with clients and stakeholders to translate their needs into effective AWS solutions.
  • Provide expert insights and guidance on AWS best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to the establishment of internal best practices and tools.
  • Work alongside cross-functional teams (e.g., development, operations, security, and client teams).
  • Facilitate technical sessions and workshops, guiding clients on architectural and strategic IT decisions.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related discipline.
  • AWS Associate/Professional certification is preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in AWS development, with a total of 10+ years in the IT industry.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS provisioning.
  • Expertise in designing, deploying, and managing applications on AWS, with a strong grasp of core AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Route 53, Lambda, and CloudFormation.
  • Proficient in scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, Bash) and infrastructure as code (IaC) methodologies using AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline).
  • Solid understanding of cloud networking architectures and experience with AWS networking services (e.g., VPC, Direct Connect, Route 53, ELB).
  • Experience in implementing and managing security and compliance protocols in an AWS environment.
  • Adept at analyzing and optimizing infrastructure costs and performance in AWS.
  • Experience with AWS monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, CloudTrail, AWS Config).
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices and AWS security services (e.g., IAM, KMS, Security Groups).
  • Deep understanding of cloud component architecture patterns: Microservices, Containers, IaaS, Storage, Security.
  • Experience with automation development on AWS, proficient in one or more automation languages (e.g., Ansible, CloudFormation, Chef, Terraform).
  • Experience in designing multi-tier application architectures or microservices on AWS.
  • Experience in building and supporting cloud data lakes.
  • Familiarity with Jenkins or Maven, version control systems, and/or NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and RESTful API design.
  • Experience with disaster recovery planning in cloud environments.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-based application deployment architectures.
  • Familiarity with data structures, schemas, and infrastructure.
