Job Title: Human Resources Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team at Extendicare. As a key member of our Corporate Head Office division, you will play a critical role in operationalizing and aligning HR and business strategies, executing people initiatives, and enabling the business to provide exceptional employee experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead employee relations and workplace investigations, providing guidance and support to resolve conflicts and ensure a positive work culture.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve and simplify HR processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Design and deliver orientation and onboarding programs for corporate head office roles, monitoring retention and providing insights to the business.
  • Monitor key people trends through robust analytics, providing recommendations to improve workforce planning and talent management.
  • Partner with Centres of Excellence to implement innovative solutions that enhance the employee experience, building strong communication plans for the organization.
  • Develop and implement HR programs and solutions across head office teams, including performance management, succession planning, total rewards, engagement, and compliance.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Human Resources or related field, CHRL designation preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer and employee-centric mindset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Excellent knowledge of employment standards and regulations.
  • Experience working with Workday or similar HRIS systems.
  • Natural ability to build strong relationships with corporate executives and partners.
  • Progressive human resources experience as an HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, or HR Advisor.
