Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced part-time Physical Literacy Primary Teacher to join our team at School District #45 (West Vancouver). The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Physical and Health Education and be able to engage students from Kindergarten to Grade 7 in physical activity to develop physical literacy skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Physical and Health Education to primary classes
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that promote physical literacy skills
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan units of inquiry and develop a dynamic learning environment
  • Support the goals outlined in the West Vancouver Indigenous Enhancement Agreement
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Physical Education or a related field
  • BC Teaching Certification
  • Experience teaching Physical and Health Education in a primary setting
  • Strong understanding of the Revised BC Curriculum and Universal Design for Learning approach
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
