We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance and Operations Coordinator to join our team at the Commission scolaire Central Québec / Central Québec School Board. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our educational institutions and buildings.
Key Responsibilities- Facilities Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the cleanliness and good condition of our buildings, including cleaning devices and equipment, ordering materials and supplies, and conducting basic inspections of lighting systems, heating, ventilation, emergency lighting, and fire extinguishers.
- Coordination and Supervision: Coordinate and supervise work performed by other employees, including organizing and carrying out tasks, and ensuring compliance with standards for the use, storage, and safe disposal of products.
- Problem-Solving and Reporting: Identify and report any damage or issues with our facilities, and ensure that repair work is completed in a timely manner.
- Security and Safety: Ensure adequate security against theft or fire, and maintain a safe working environment for all employees and students.
- Experience: Three (3) years of pertinent experience in facilities maintenance and operations.
- Skills: General knowledge of the operation of heating, ventilation, lighting, and alarm systems, as well as basic knowledge of the main building trades and spoken English.
