Position Summary

  • Develop and nurture connections with patients, residents, and their families from a variety of backgrounds.
  • Address and mediate conflicts and grievances, acting as a resource for resolution.
  • Facilitate communication between patients and relevant stakeholders to ensure clarity.
  • Assess requests and guide resolutions in accordance with established protocols.
  • Gather information to evaluate complaints and offer insights for enhancement.
  • Play a role in fostering a positive workplace culture and supportive environments.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience working with patients and their families.
  • 3 years of experience implementing quality, risk management, and patient safety practices.
  • 3 years of experience providing services to a diverse clientele.
  • 3 years of experience applying pertinent legislation.

Educational Background

  • Post-secondary degree in a relevant field.
  • Certifications in quality management, patient safety, mediation, or conflict resolution are advantageous.

Certifications and Competencies

  • Active membership in good standing with a regulatory body.
  • Proven leadership skills among staff.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to work in an office setting and lift items weighing up to 10 kg.
  • Travel to various health service facilities may be necessary.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and be available for overtime.

Background Checks

A current satisfactory Criminal Records Check, Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check are mandatory.
