Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled CAD Application Engineer with expertise in SolidEdge to join our team as a subject matter expert on customer projects. As a CAD Application Engineer, you will work closely with our Account Managers, Senior Architects, and development team to ensure our customers' success in adopting Siemens SolidEdge and NX solutions for efficient and streamlined design, simulation, and manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Sales Activities: Support customer presentations, demos, marketing efforts, and formal proposals.
  • Customer Support: Provide technical assistance for SolidEdge and NX CAD-related questions.
  • Customer Training: Deliver training sessions for SolidEdge and NX CAD.
  • Customer Service Engagements: Fulfill customer service engagements related to SolidEdge and NX CAD.
  • Subject Matter Expert: Act as a subject matter expert on SolidEdge and NX CAD best practices.
  • Technical Expertise: Apply solutions in the following areas of SolidEdge and NX CAD:
    • Prismatic modeling functions
    • Complex curves and surfaces
    • Drafting and Model-Based Definition
    • Assemblies, including Wave Linked geometry
    • NX configuration, including environment variables, customer defaults, and start-up scripts
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge and interest in design, engineering, and manufacturing best practices.
  • Experience: Experience in SolidEdge is a must-have; experience in NX Solutions is an asset.
  • Additional Skills: Experience with non-Siemens applications (CREO, CATIA, SOLIDWORKS) is a plus; experience with simulation tools, PLM, and/or CAM is also a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work in a team and independently.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual French and English (regular interaction with colleagues, suppliers, and customers outside of Quebec, nationally, and internationally).
