Senior Civil Engineer

Full-time position at GBi

We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our infrastructure division at GBi. The selected candidate will oversee various projects for public agencies, municipalities, educational institutions, and private sector clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess client requirements and prepare cost estimates for civil engineering initiatives;
  • Gather project data (existing designs, regulations, surveys, studies);
  • Develop designs for water distribution, sewage systems, and roadway infrastructure;
  • Perform hydraulic analysis;
  • Manage the integration of urban technical systems;
  • Create and interpret engineering plans and specifications;
  • Calculate project quantities and financial projections;
  • Prepare necessary municipal permits and regulatory approvals;
  • Organize and oversee civil engineering projects;
  • Ensure compliance with construction standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's degree preferred);
  • Registered member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec;
  • Proven experience in engineering consultancy;
  • At least eight (8) years of expertise in infrastructure (sewer systems, water supply, urban technical networks) and roadway design;
  • Familiarity with effective stormwater management techniques;
