About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our team at GBi in Quebec. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for leading projects for various clients, including government ministries, cities, municipalities, school boards, and private promoters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Determine client needs and estimate costs for infrastructure projects;
  • Obtain project inputs (existing plans, regulations, surveys, studies);
  • Design water supply, sewer, and road networks;
  • Perform hydraulic calculations;
  • Coordinate the implementation of urban technical network (RTU) works;
  • Produce and interpret plans and estimates;
  • Estimate quantities and costs of projects;
  • Prepare municipal permit and ministerial authorization requests;
  • Plan and control civil engineering works;
  • Ensure compliance with construction works.

Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (a Master's degree is an asset);
  • Member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec;
  • Experience in engineering consulting;
  • Minimum of 8 years of specialization in infrastructure (sewers, water supply, RTU) and roads;
  • Knowledge of optimal stormwater management practices;
  • Knowledge of network modeling software (SWMM) and water distribution (EPANET);
  • Familiarity with regulations and standards for sanitary and stormwater sewer networks;
  • Available for site visits;
  • Teamwork skills;
  • Comfortable with hybrid remote work arrangements;
