Job Summary:
RhynoCare is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in providing high-quality nursing care to our residents. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering excellent patient care, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team, and upholding the highest standards of professionalism and compassion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Nursing Care: Deliver nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and the resident's plan of care, ensuring the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care in the assigned home area(s).
- Assess and Plan Care: Assess the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents, and develop and implement individualized care plans to meet their unique needs.
- Coordinate Care: Ensure timely and safe resident transfers and discharges, and coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Manage Medications: Ensure the safe and effective management of medications, including the administration, storage, and disposal of medications, and maintain accurate records of medication administration.
- Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure that care is delivered in a respectful, compassionate, and culturally sensitive manner.
- Participate in Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of care and services provided by RhynoCare.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or equivalent.
- Registration: Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
- Certifications: Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification and valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, basic computer proficiency, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of the Long Term Care Act, Program Standards for Long Term Care, and other relevant legislation and regulations.
