Job Summary

The Junior Claims Adjuster, Accident Benefits is a key role within our team at CAA Club Group. As a Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for handling automobile, long haul trucking, motorcycle, and recreational vehicle Accident Benefits claims. This role requires a dynamic personality and the ability to excel in a high-performance environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and evaluate claims to determine entitlement to benefits
  • Process and assess new claims, conducting thorough investigations and needs analyses
  • Establish priority of Insurers/Loss Transfer/WSIB
  • Provide excellent customer service to insureds, guiding them through the claim process
  • Ensure timely and effective responses to stakeholders, including lawyers, clients, doctors, rehabilitation facilities, and service providers
  • Make benefit payments as per legislation
  • Obtain approval from Manager on claims above authority

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience
  • CIP or working towards designation
  • Minimum of 2 years experience handling casualty claims required
  • Strong organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to understand insurance contracts in various jurisdictions
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of claims settlement, policy wording, fraud investigations, and coverage issues
  • Ability to cross-reference information with attention to detail
  • Strong general computer knowledge required
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
