Job Description

We are seeking an Intermediate Structural Engineer to join our team at Arcadis. As a key member of our Structural Team, you will be responsible for developing and managing projects for the construction of new or modified commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings and structures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the design of drawings and specifications for various structures, including building structures, foundations, industrial structures, and civil structures.
  • Conduct periodic site reviews to ensure construction complies with design intent and codes.
  • Provide direction to and work with Engineering & CAD staff.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Master's degree in Structural Engineering is an asset.
  • Between 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in structural design, preferably in the industrial and commercial sectors.
  • Registered P.Eng or eligible to be registered with PEO (ON).
  • Technical competency in the design of structural building systems.
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant design standards and codes.
  • Proficiency in structural design software such as ETABS, SAFE, Robot, SAP2000.
  • Knowledge of 3D BIM is an asset, such as REVIT & Navisworks.
  • Strong project management and coordination skills with a strong ability to coordinate effectively with project structural teams.
  • Ability to confidently relate with all levels of staff and clientele - Internal and External.
  • Excellent work ethic and desire to succeed.
  • Effective communication in the English language (verbal and written).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and software such as Bluebeam.
