The Opportunity
We are in search of a skilled Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our Analyst team within our financial services division in Montreal.
As a member of our Montreal team, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting analysis and process re-engineering, overseeing project management, and evaluating solutions, including assessments of 'Buy vs Build'.
- Participating in the application of Agile/Scrum methodologies to design and develop products alongside our internal developers, managing change, providing user training, and offering application support.
- Collaborating with key business sectors such as accounting and investor management for Hedge Fund & Private Equity clients, creating interactive dashboards for Institutional clients, and handling regulatory and compliance data processing and reporting (e.g., FATCA, CRS, and AML), as well as managing wire payment workflows, risk monitoring, and secure banking connectivity.
What You Bring
In addition to possessing high ethical standards and a strong sense of autonomy, the ideal candidate will demonstrate the following qualifications:
- The capability to utilize existing financial services expertise, manage independently, and take ownership to deliver results with discipline.
- An analytical mindset to effectively identify root causes and gaps.
- Proficient planning skills to manage both project and operational risks, with the ability to communicate effectively among clients, business units, and technology teams.
- A creative mindset with a passion for innovation and technology.
- A minimum of six years of experience in the Financial Services sector.
- A relevant undergraduate or graduate degree in Financial Services or Information Technology.
- Business analysis professional certification (e.g., IIBA CBAP) is preferred but not mandatory.
- Willingness to travel may be necessary.
