About the Role

The Sleep Country Canada/Dormez-vous team is seeking a highly skilled Cash Management Specialist to join our Accounting Department. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our cash management processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily tender matching and reconciliation process, analyzing results and identifying root causes for exception matches.
  • Proactively review results and trends to identify emerging issues and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Support daily gift card processing and reconcile activity, addressing issues in a timely manner.
  • As subject matter expert, support, review, and resolve 1st level escalations to internal and external customers.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and address items in a timely manner.
  • Prepare dashboard and KPI reports, providing analysis and commentary on results.
  • Review existing reporting and provide recommendations to manager to streamline reporting.
  • Lead implementation and execution of new reports and changes to existing reports.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
  • Advanced level of proficiency in MS Excel and Accounting systems.
  • Process mapping and validation for functional area testing of the new system and all integrations.
  • Proven experience in training Finance/Accounting teams with new processes and leading team projects.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines while managing competing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including a high level of expertise with internal and external stakeholder management.
