About the Role:

  • Organize and execute tasks in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all safety procedures and protocols.
  • Apply coatings to composite components using various spray methods, ensuring high-quality finishes.
  • Prepare components for coatings using various preparation methods, including surface cleaning and sanding.
  • Spot repair components using various spray methods, maintaining the highest standards of quality.
  • Maintain and repair shop tools and equipment, including the spray facility, to ensure optimal performance.
  • Mix, spray, and verify coatings to match exact specifications, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Mask appropriate areas as required, using protective materials and techniques.
  • Inspect components during processing stages, identifying and addressing any defects or issues.
  • Follow work instructions and quality control processes, adhering to Multimatic's quality-focused attitude and work culture.
  • Utilize body repair materials and methods for composite components, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
  • Work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment, providing and receiving constructive feedback to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Experience in auto body finishing and repair, with a focus on composite materials.
  • Experience in spot repair using airbrush or spray gun, with a strong understanding of colour matching techniques.
  • Experience in painting two or three tone graphics across various panels, with a keen eye for detail and colour consistency.
  • Ability to interpret basic work instructions and follow mix ratios, with a strong understanding of chemical properties and interactions.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, producing high-quality output while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Understanding of composite component construction, with a strong foundation in materials science and engineering principles.
  • Experience in manufacturing environments, with a focus on quality control and process improvement.
